The voice of Division 3 and re-elected in 2024 for a second term – Councillor Kitty Gebadi represents Bamaga community working to achieve next-level accomplishments for our collective futures.

Inspired by a long family history of service to NPA communities, understandably Cr Gebadi is passionate about community service.

A graduate of the Australian Rural Leadership Program, Cr Gebadi joins her peers in envisioning thriving communities in the Northern Peninsula Area “where people work with one another and the environment around them—respectfully and boldly to innovate new ideas to tackle challenges”.

As a professional in community service, this Councillor says she will always strive to “be comfortable, with being uncomfortable” to make a positive difference.

Councillor Gebadi remains passionate about raising the profile of the Northern Peninsula Area, and improving life “where we have two of our Indigenous cultures that sit in the one region”.
