Black Star Radio 91.9fm

NPA's local radio station, Red Dust Country FM, is operated on frequency FM 91.9 from studios in Bamaga.

The Queensland Remote Aboriginal Media (Aboriginal Corporation), or QRAMAC, provides the equipment, periodic maintenance and remote support for technical issues. The station provides current music mixes, local news, current affairs, events and health promotions. The Bamaga facilities have two studios and transmit at 500 watts. The approximate reception range is 50 km.

Mobile Coverage

Telstra mobile phone coverage is typically good in Injinoo, Umagico, and most of Bamaga. Service to Seisia and New Mapoon can be limited.
