Economic Development

NPARC owns and operates many services within the communities of the NPA, including camp sites, supermarkets, housing developments, Bamaga farm and pool, local nursery, aged care and youth services and service stations. Our services are managed in a way to ensure maximum return to both Council and the NPA community, and to assist in further community and economic development.

NPARC offers many  training initiatives and employment opportunities within Council run businesses and supported community groups.

In the dry season, the economy thrives due to an increase in local tourism. However, Council services providing training and employment for local workers can assist in maintaining a steady local economy.
