Expressions of Interest

Northern Peninsula Area Regional Council (NPARC) is seeking Expressions of Interest from any interested businesses, organisations or individuals who are interested in leasing commercial and industrial land at Tradesman Way, Seisia. 

Council may decide to accept an Expression of Interest most advantageous to Council, or may decide to accept no Expression of Interest.

Home Ownership

There are multiple benefits and challenges to Home Ownership. It is an extended process with multiple steps, but Peri Sunai can assist Community Members with the EOI form if necessary.

Who is eligible

Under the Relevant Acts, an eligible lessee may be:

  • an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person;

  • a spouse, or former spouse of an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person (this includes a de factor partner and a registered partner);

  • a spouse, or former spouse of a deceased Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person; or the holder of an existing lease within the community.

The eligible lessee may apply for a lease over an existing social housing dwelling, or over vacant land. They will have exclusive use of the land which can only be primarily used the residential purposes. Under the Relevant Acts, a dwelling house needs to be constructed within 8 years of the grant of the lease, if a dwelling is not already located on the land.
